Strawberry Gathering 2012
The Strawberry Line Miniature Railway will be holding its Gala Weekend over the weekend of Saturday 30th June & Sunday 1st July 2012.
We have the country’s longest commercial ground level 5” gauge miniature railway at well over half a mile. We have a resident mixture of both vintage and modern diesel outline locomotives hauling regular passenger trains. Additionally over this weekend we are expecting visiting locos, both diesel and live steam for added enjoyment. Freight trains will also be running.
We have a few special events planned for the weekend:
- New model railway exhibit will be opened
- Two class 20 diesel locos will be launched
- New 12 wagon freight train running for the first time
We are also holding a small display of old buses and cars
Please note that the Strawberry Line Miniature Railway is located within the Avon Valley Country Park, Pixash Lane, Keynsham (nr Bristol). There is an admission charge to the park.

Our Gala weekend this year – “ The Strawberry Gathering” – is due to be held over Saturday June 30th & Sunday July 1st 2012.
This will include the official opening of the new model railway exhibit.
It is also intended to have visiting locomotives again at the Gala - including steam. We will also be having a bus rally on site on the day.We've added some photos and video from our 2011 gala to give you an idea of what to expect.
Check back the website regularly for further updates and news from the Strawberry Line - we reopen on the 31st of March this year and look forward to welcoming all visitors.
